Welcome to the board page! My name is Sven, a 22-year-old Security Studies student in my final year. Being part of Custodia has given me countless unforgettable experiences, from formal visits to international trips. As president, my goal is to provide our members with the same opportunities that have enriched my student life.
For the academic year 2024-2025, I am committed to creating more opportunities for our members to engage and grow beyond the university environment. By the end of my term, I hope to leave behind a vibrant, welcoming, and safe community that supports personal and professional development, and offers a sense of belonging for all members.
Hi everyone! I am Emiel, a 24-year-old Security Studies student. This year, I’ll be serving as Secretary of Board VII. This will be my 4th year with Custodia having been on the audit, social & dies committees in the past. I fondly remember karaoke nights selling flowers on Valentine's Day and all the great people I met over the years! Hello! I am Niek and at this moment I am in my second year of studying Security Studies. This year I am the Treasurer and Vice President of Board VII. I look with extreme enthusiasm towards the fulfillment of this role. My last year in Custodia has been an amazing and well-worth experience. Hi! I'm Cathy Zaunbrecher, and I'll be serving as L.S.A. Custodia's Head of Internal Affairs for 2024/2025. Currently, I'm pursuing a Master's in Crisis and Security Management, focusing on the National Intelligence and Security track, alongside my studies in Political Science at Leiden. Over the past few years, I've been involved in several committees, and I'm excited to bring those experiences to this role. I'm looking forward to collaborating with committee members to organize fun and engaging activities and to connect with both new and returning Custodia members. Hey everyone! I am Marissa Blanker, and I'm thrilled to be your Head of Master Affairs for the upcoming year. I am part of the September cohort, currently pursuing the master Crisis and Security Management and I’m looking forward to working alongside the rest of the board to make this year unforgettable for all our members.
As the Head of Master Affairs, my focus is to ensure that our master’s students get the most out of their time at Custodia. I will be organizing various events, including networking opportunities and skill-building workshops

Hello, my name is Watey Diep, and I serve as the Head of External Affairs for this association. In this capacity, I am responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our external partners, ensuring clear and effective communication between them and our organization. My role involves overseeing strategic partnerships, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and managing our organization’s external presence to foster collaboration and mutual growth.
With experience in similar roles at my previous university, I have a strong foundation in partnership management and external communications, which I bring to my work here for Custodia. I aim to continue to establish strong industry connections whilst creating relevant opportunities for our members and foster career oriented experiences. I focus on shaping L.S.A. Custodia’s long-term vision by developing sustainable strategies and improving internal structures. 2019-2020
The second board of L.S.A. Custodia took over the duties of the first board in May 2019 and
further expanded L.S.A. Custodia in terms of activities, committees and external outreach.
One of the proud moments during this board year was the trip to Kiev, Ukraine – which was
the first ever trip of our study association. During our board term, we saw the association
grow and we are proud of what we have accomplished, even though the pandemic made the
final months of our term quite the challenge.

2018-2019
The first board of L.S.A. Custodia built upon the foundations laid down by a group of
enthusiastic students to establish a study association for the bachelor Security Studies and
the master Crisis and Security Management. In May 2018, L.S.A. Custodia was officially
established and the first board laid down the foundations for the years to come, officially
registering L.S.A. Custodia as an association at the Chamber of Commerce in March 2019.
