If you have a question regarding any of our board members' responsibilities, do not hesitate to send us an e-mail.

President: Nadine Louissen (chair@custodiathehague.com)

My name is Nadine Louissen and I am a third year Security Studies student. Upcoming year I will hold the position of President on the board of L.S.A. Custodia. Two years ago I left the far East (of The Netherlands) to start my studies in The Hague, and I am enjoying every second of it!

When I started my studies, there was no study association yet. During the first year of my bachelors I became actively involved in the establishment of a study association for our program. Last year, me and my fellow board members set up L.S.A. Custodia, the association for both Security Studies and Crisis and Security Management. Within our association, you can be as involved as you want to be. We aim at organizing events at least two times a month, and members are always welcome to stop by our office during our office hours. Everyone is welcome, and you can decide for yourself what you want to do with your membership! I think you can all understand I hope to see many of you next year.

As president, I am responsible for coordinating the board and keeping track of what happens within the association. One of my main focus points is to make sure the goals we set for ourselves are actually being reached. Besides, I represent the board externally in the Association Consultations (VerO’s) within the FGGA and Campus The Hague, and in the Study Association Consultation Platform (StOP).

Together with my board members, I hope to welcome many of you during our events upcoming year, and I hope everyone feels welcome and at home within our lovely association. I hope to see many of you soon!

Secretary: Max Kroes (secretary@custodiathehague.com)

My name is Max Kroes, currently 20 years old and I am a third year Security Studies student. Last year I moved from my lovely hometown Leiden to The Hague. On last years' board I held the position of Head of Internal Affairs, but this year I will be fulfilling the role of Secretary. This means that I will be managing the "behind the scenes" of L.S.A. Custodia by means of promoting events and responding to in and outside contacts. If you ever have any questions regarding the association please do not hesitate to contact me! :) Beside my function on the board I am also part of S.I.B. Leiden where I try to broaden my perspective on political matters, but also to socialise with some great people! For this year I hope to see many new faces during our events and I am excited to meet and speak to all of you!

Treasurer & Vice-President: Luc Meijer (treasurer@custodiathehague.com)

I am Luc Meijer and I will be treasurer and vice-president for the upcoming year. I am a third year Security Studies student. I come from the Netherlands and live in The Hague. This will be my second year in the board of Custodia at the position of treasurer. Therefore, I feel confident about managing the association’s financials this year. I am excited to see what the next year will bring, and look forward to meeting all of our new and remaining members!

Head of Internal Affairs: Isabel Jansen (internalaffairs@custodiathehague.com)

Dear members of L.S.A Custodia, my name is Isabel Jansen, I am 19 years old and currently in my second year of the bachelor Security Studies. This year (2019/2020) I will be fulfilling the role of Head of Internal Affairs (HIA). As a board member I will be involved in various committees; being the Social Committee, the Educational committee and the Travel Committee. I will not be taking the role of chair, but will be involved as an assessor within the committees. The objectives are to evaluate the organised events and improve the quality. Moreover, maintaining a good communication between the chair, committees and the HIA and to motivate the members to organise new events regularly. I will be in contact with some of our partners, being mainly some bars in The Hague and the university itself. I am looking forward to this year and hope to have a fun year with the board, committees and all the new members and will hopefully learn a lot from the whole experience.

Head of External Affairs: Sterre Brinkman (externalaffairs@custodiathehague.com)

My name is Sterre Brinkman. I am a 19 year old student, currently attending the second year of Security Studies at Leiden University. My daily efforts with regards to the study association will go out to assisting the formal committee and to the extension of our acquisition. Beside these board tasks, I am a member of student rowing association H.S.R.V. Pelargos. Within this association I spend time rowing, cooking in the cook committee and promoting the association in the promotion committee. On top of that, cooking and travelling are two hobbies I am very passionate about. If you want to have an elaborate conversation with me during one of the Custodia events, just bring on the topic of travelling and you will be settled for the rest of the day. (Or avoid this topic, if you want to avoid long conversations ;)) I hope to see you all during next year’s events!

If you have any ideas with regards to events or speakers, feel free to share this. After all, events will be much more appreciated when the input came from the audience itself.

Head of Master Affairs: Michael Marinelli (masters@custodiathehague.com)

I'm Michael Marinelli, and I am the Head of Master Affairs at Custodia. I am an international student from Melbourne, Australia. I am studying the MSc Crisis and Security Management in The Hague. I hope to help build a strong sense of community within the CSM program and within the broader Custodia club. I warmly welcome any questions, ideas, and proposals from anybody with a current or prospective interest in the CSM!
